Petaquilla Gold, S. A. with entrepreneur Richard Fifer Carles’s vision, hosted a technical visit of students participating in the Mining and Environment postgraduate program to the Molejón mining project, located in the Donoso district, province of Cocle.
This degree is offered under the agreement framework for academic, technical and scientific cooperation, signed by the Mining Chamber of Panama (CAMIPA) and the Universidad del Caribe (UIC) with the University of Eastern Venezuela’s (UOV) support and grants from Minera Panama, S. A. and Capira Dorada, S. A.
This is the first postgraduate program related to the topic of mining and environment that is taught in a Panamanian higher education center and was attended by leading professionals from Panama and Venezuela with extensive experience in geological and mining issues and environmental, reported Planeta magazine which is published by CAMIPA.
