Jorge Isaac Obon, executive director of the Castilla del Oro Foundation, thanked the presents for taking them into consideration for this act since “we came to pay a courtesy visit, since we came here last year with the Duke”.
The statements from the member of the Castilla del Oro Foundation were given at the 52nd anniversary celebration of the foundation of the Ruben Dario Carles School in the province of Cocle, event that counted with the presence of distinguished personalities of the region such as the Governor of the province, Fernando Nunez Fabrega , and a Spanish delegation led by Cristobal Colon de Carvajal, twentieth Duke of Veragua, which has been touring attractions to enhance the development of rural and religious tourism in the Panamanian Isthmus with special emphasis on what is known as Castilla del Oro.
Obon echoed the regards sent by engineer Richard Fifer Carles where he “compromised via the Castilla del Oro Foundation to support this first world library that is costing 75 thousand dollars, and that will be done in three months”.
I can assure you –stated the executive- “that in three months we will be the envy of all the schools of the area”.
He indicated, “that in reality we have been touring the provinces that comprise the Castilla del Oro, as you know are Colon, Cocle, Herrera, Los Santos and Veraguas”.
In his short but substantial intervention, Obon highlighted “five provinces the Duke will be touring to see the tourism development that will be done on each of them, we invite you tonight at 6pm to the blessing of the statue of Santiago Apostle which will travel tomorrow at 11am to Nata where it will adorn the main plaza”.
